2015 3D Sound Opera Week had been held at the North Bund. As the key event of Shanghai International Art Festival, the programs of 3D Sound Opera Week consisted of Opera Verdi La Traviata, Opera Concert Overture Gala and Opera Concert Arias Gala. The art director of this event is Marco Carniti from Italy. Main performers are from Verona Opera Festival and the conductor is Maestro Xu Zhong, art director of Teatro Massimo Bellini.

To fully immerse the audience in the intensity of the performance, Full Dimension deployed an impressive speaker set-up and recreated the reverberation of a real concert hall, with 11 main-line arrays, 4 subwoofers and 2 side-fill arrays established the localization of the orchestra, while 250 pre-configured ceiling speakers provided sound effects, like thunder and shattering glass. Marco Carniti, the director of this event expressed that this is also the first time for his team to cooperate with this kind of new audio technology. He is very pleasure to take part in this performance and it’s also a valuable experience for him.
