Full Dimension started to design, supervise, integrate and debug the whole system according to the basic requirements and the creative features of the lab. The final lab implementation was perfectly aliened with the original design. As for system integration, SWD group not only demanded high standard for every details, but also included the notion of “spatial sound” (Spatial awareness and spatial imagination are essentially important to the art of sound.). Full Dimension was very professional, united, and full of passion while creating and implementing their project.

This project was located in the electro-music lab in Shanghai Conservatory of Music Acoustical environment in the original room was imperfect. The room was 7meters*7meters*3.5meters with serious problems of VSWR. Our design was focusing on "asymmetrical"module in sound design and improve indoor sound field by using all kinds of acoustic modules such as CCP(ceiling abosorber), bass traps, diffusers, etc..
As for the interior design, we decided to use “Black Box Theater” style originated from early 1960-1970 and the black walls create strong color contrast with bright red truss structures. We also designed different light models to fit in various teaching requirements.
By using truss structures, we could set the loudspeakers’ quantity, height and angle freely. 14 sE Munro Egg 150s and a Genelec 7060B loudspeaker made up 14.1 channel system which concludes 8-channel format, 3D simulation Neo:X format, 5.1/7.1 channel surround sound system and two-channel stereo format. And the systematic design schema of active loudspeaker power outlay could debug loudspeakers’ acoustic parameters under the premise of amplifier and loudspeakers matching each other exactly.
